Whenever possible, please use an approved technology listed below as these solutions are known to satisfy a teaching or business need, is accessible to users, and meets security standards for data use and storage. 

Technology listed as Unapproved does not meet the federal, state, or UT System standards to be used at UTA and an alternative should be chosen. 

If you require the use of a technology not listed below this technology will need to be assessed before being allowed to be purchased or used on a UTA device, or on the UTA network.  

Once a Technology Assessment is submitted the information will be reviewed by a team of professionals from OIT and ISO to ensure the technology can be properly implemented and supported on campus, that the data used by the technology is protected and meets security policies, and ensuring the technology meets EIR accessibility standards.
